This state of Citrus attracts many tourists to who want to experience its warm weather and sandy beaches.

The boundaries of this state include the Atlantic Ocean on the east, the Gulf of Mexico on the west and Georgia and Alabama on the north.

The economy of the state of Florida receives a major boost from the tourist industry. The city of Orlando is surrounded by a huge number of theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. These facilities are one of the major tourist attractions in Florida. The famous beaches of Miami Beach, Daytona Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, attract multitudes of sightseers and tourists. The state of Florida has a massive network of inland waterways that make it even more attractive to tourists. With the sea surround the state on three sides this semi tropical state is a fishermen’s delight. Everglades National Park, Palm Beach and Sanibel Island offers tourists a heavenly menu to choose from.

The state of Florida is world famous for its citrus fruit production being America’s leading producer of oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, and market-ready corn and tomatoes. Sugar cane and a wide variety of winter vegetables as well as cattle and dairy products add to the power of the Florida economy. The fishing industry here produces crabs, lobsters, and shrimp of high quality.

The space industry represented by Cape Canaveral and the John F. Kennedy Space Center as well as the many defense and scientific-research companies in Florida creates a unique and profitable economic sector. The space flights to the moon and space shuttle missions were launched from Cape Canaveral. The military also has some major installations in Florida that include large air force. The construction industry is booming here and is being fed by the influx of Latin Americans and Latin American trade.

The largest manufacturing endeavors in Florida produce food products, printed and published materials, electrical and electronic equipment, and transportation equipment. Lumber and timber products also give the state’s economy a positive addition. Florida’s primary wood products are produced from yellow pine. The state also has mineral resources that include phosphate rock, sand, and gravel.
