one near Summit Street and Thrift street, one near Shields Street
and Orizaba Avenue and near Ramsell Street and Shields Street. With
views of the San Francisco Golf Course and Lake Merced.
Mint Hill 150

The San Francisco Division of the US Mints sits on this hill. The
San Francisco Mint building is bounded by Hermann Street to the north
Buchanan Street on the east, Duboce Avenue on the south and Webster
Street on the west. This building was constructed in 1854.

Access to Mount Davidson Park is at the intersection of Rex Avenue and Juanita Way. You can also access Mt. Davidson
Park along Dalewood Way by taking the road to the north just west of Lansdale Avenue.

Feet Great Views This hilltop sits within Mount Olympus Park southwest of
Buena Vista Heights. To access this viewpoint take Clifford Terrace east off of Ashbury Street
then turn south on Upper Terrace and follow it to its end.
Mount St. Joseph 250
Feet This hilltop is contained in a very small park that sits at
the corner of Bayview Circle and Newhall Street.
Mount Sutro 908

One of the tallest hills in San Francisco has a number of trails that
traverse this green area. Main access turn north off Clarendon Avenue
onto Johnstone Drive. Go to the top of this street.

Nob Hill 376
Feet Great Views The center of Nob Hill is at the intersection of Clay Street
and Jones Street but arguably the sloping hilltop covers an area bounded by Washington Street
to the north, Taylor Street to the east, California Street to the south and Leavenworth Street to
the west. A totally urban areas with great city views.
Noe Peak 922

This is the southern summit of Twin Peaks. As for access to Eureka Peak follow Twin Peaks Boulevard to its end. This
street circumnavigates both peaks of Twin Peaks. To the north of Eureka Peak is the tourist platform that is enclosed by Christmas
Tree Point Road. This is an outcropping of land called Christmas Tree Point.
Pacific Heights 375

A nice little hill in that sits on the corner of the Presidio and
Pacific Heights neighborhood, one of the plushest neighborhoods in
San Francisco. The hilltop is located at the intersection of Lyon
Street and Pacific Avenue. This area is filled with historic buildings.
Potrero Hill 300
Feet Great Views As with a number of the hilltops of San Francisco Potrero
Hill is topped by a water tower. You can access this hill bop from the intersection of 22nd
Street and Carolina Street.

Presidio Heights 275
Feet Great Views A small hilltop near the Presidio centered at the
intersection of Maple Street and Washington Street. This hill top extends form Cherry Street
to Spruce Street.
Presidio Hill 370
Feet Great Views A nice hill located in the Presidio. Overlooks the Presidio
Golf Course with fantastic views. To access this hilltop turn north off of Jackson Street on
Arguello Boulevard into the Presidio. Then turn northwest on Washington Boulevard, then turn
southwest on Deems Road. Go to the end of this road the hilltop is above Deems Road.
Red Rock Hill 689
Feet One of the many hilltops in the central area of San
Francisco this hilltop sits in the Diamond Heights neighborhood. To access this hilltop turn
off Diamond Heights Boulevard onto Duncan Street, then turn east on Red Rock Way. Take this
street to its end.
Rincon Hill 100

A tiny hill congested with roads, lies above Rincon Street off Bryant
Street and above First Street at Harrison Street. A corridor industrial
area, hardly worth the trip.
Rob Hill 374
Feet Great Views Another small hill in the Presidio. This hilltop sits above
a campground. To get there take Washington Boulevard to the intersection of Central Magazine
Road and Compton Road.
Russian Hill 300
Feet Great Views Broadway Street north to Bay
Street. There are two hilltops on this ridge
referred to as Russian Hill. The southern hilltop
is bounded by Vallejo Street to the north, Taylor
Street to the east, Broadway Street to the south and
Florence to the west. The northern hilltop is
centered in Marble Park and bounded by Lombard
Street on the north, Hyde Street on the east,
Greenwich Street on the south, and Larkin Street on
the west.
Sherwood Forest 825

The hilltop is located between Dalewood Way and Robinhood Drive east from Lansdale Avenue.

A beautiful little island mountain sitting in the center of Stow Lake.
You can access this nice spot located in Golden Gate Park by taking
Martin Luther King Drive to Stow Lake Drive. Take this road northwest
until you reach the footbridge to the island hill.
Sutro Heights 200
Feet Great Views This oceanside hilltop is in Sutro Heights Park.It
overlooks the Cliff House and has great views of the Pacific. It is bounded by Point Lobos Avenue to the
north, 48th Avenue to the east, Balboa Street to the south and the Great Highway to the west.

accessed at the intersection of Twin Peaks Boulevard and Graystone Terrace.
Telegraph Hill 288
Feet Great Views The Coit Tower sits atop this downtown hill. This small
hill is bounded by Lombard Street, Sansome Street on the east, Filbert Street to the south
and Telegraph Hill Boulevard.
