Richmond

  This neighborhood is north of Golden Gate Park. The community is middle class and here you will find numerous duplexes built in the 20's, with a few large Edwardian style homes sprinkled throughout the neighborhood. Richmond is one of the largest communities in San Francisco and has a number of fashionable areas of superb tree lined streets and is also a flourishing business sector. The streets here are clean
and the homes are well maintained. It is easy to see that a great deal of refurbishing has take place here most particularly as you get closer to the Pacific. You will find apartments and condominiums here near the highway along the ocean. The summers here are not as friendly as in other areas of the city as it is cool and windy. The winters tend to be clear. This is a culturally diverse area. In the Richmond area you can shop in a Russian grocery store, enjoy and ale in an Irish pub or savor a meal in a Chinese restaurant or find a Russian bakery or Greek deli. Dotting the commercial streets of Richmond are Chinese groceries, eateries and dim sum parlors.

Rossi Park
This is a flat spot you can find with in the boundaries of Anza Street to the north, Stanyan Street to the east, Balboa Street to the south and Arquello Boulevard to the west. The homes here are well cared for and this is a quiet neighborhood.

Inner Richmond
This is another area with great cultural diversity. This is a busy culturally diverse neighborhood where you will find attractive little stucco houses, and impressive estates. Here you will find an assortment of shops and some of the San Francisco’s top bookstores. Eating is a pleasure here at any of the Burmese, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French or Korean restaurants or enjoy one of the many delicacies of a Chinese bakery.

Outer Richmond
Once considered a wasteland the expansion of San Francisco finally tamed the sand dunes. This district has urbanized itself into a serene neighborhood of filled with eateries and basic shopping opportunities that reflect the varied cultural make up of this community. You can find Mexican, Russian, French and Italian restaurants here as well as any variety of Asian cuisine purveyors. Here you get the feel of a small community even in the main shopping areas. with ease, not to mention a plethora of establishments serving food from every corner of Asia.

Sutro Heights
Near this historical spot you will find homes that are upscale and beautifully maintained with magnificent landscaping.

   
Lincoln Manor
Older elite homes grace this little spot in the Richmond district. Some refer to this area as Shoreview Terrace.

The noted architect McCain designed a number of homes in Lincoln Manor, a dignified neighborhood of homes between 36th Avenue and 38th Avenue close to Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is filled with may separate, stucco and wood, two-story Edwardian styled homes with little front yards.

Presidio Terrace
This neighborhood is filled with artfully remodeled Edwardian houses, single-family homes and apartments buildings. This is a serene area that is close to the beautiful Presidio public golf course, walking trails and bicycle paths. This rounded, single street neighborhood has homes with large gardens and yards. The homes here were designed in a array of styles that includes Edwardian, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, Craftsman and Classical Revival, most of these homes were constructed from 1905 to 1910. Presidio Terrace offers big and opulently landscaped plots and pastoral suburban environs within the San Francisco.

Homes here range in price form $500,000 to $3,000,000.

Lake Street
The area along Lake Street against the Presidio to the north from Arguello Boulevard to Sea Cliff offers single-family homes with a lot of them in cul-de-sacs. The homes you find here are large and in a very good neighborhood.

Lone Mountain
Lone Mountain is close to the University of San Francisco and Golden Gate Park offering a very tidy and attractive neighborhood with some quaint homes and some contemporary homes all well taken care of and enhanced by beautiful gardens and much flora through out the neighborhood.

West Clay Park
This is a impressive neighborhood, with two-story, large box shaped homes hidden by the greenery of the Presidio and not far from upscale Lake Street.

Fulton Street
Fulton street was adorned with homes designed in the Mediterranean, Secessionist, Arts and Crafts and Mission Revival style. As you move north in this neighborhood you will find a number of multi-unit flats and big apartment structures. The multi-unit flats offer similar design features, as do the single-family homes here.
